Military Appreciation Assembly Approaches - Nov. 8th

O'Neal is exciting to have Colonel Jennifer Bager as guest speaker for it's 12th annual Military Appreciation Assembly on November 8th.
Active military, veterans and their families who are part of the O'Neal Community are invited to join students at 11:00 AM in the Hannah Center Gymnasium for a special Veterans Day Assembly for students in grades 1-12. There will be special music from students and we will welcome guest speaker COL Jennifer Bager. 
 
COL (Dr.) Jennifer M. Bager has served in the US Army Medical Corps for over 20 years and currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Liberty, NC.
 
After graduating from Michigan State University in 1995, COL Bager attended the Uniformed Services University Medical School in Bethesda, MD where she earned her Medical Doctorate. She then completed a 5 year Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii. Following residency, she was stationed at Landstuhl Army Medical Center in Germany from 2005-2009, during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom where she served as a staff physician. This was followed by an assignment as the Chief of Otolaryngology at Fort Carson, CO and then as the Chief of Otolaryngology/teaching staff at Tripler Army Medical Center. During her time at Tripler, she deployed to Iraq in support of Operating Enduring Freedom in 2014-2015, serving as the 207th Head and Neck Team Commander.
 
She arrived in North Carolina in 2018, where she has served as the Chief of Surgical Services, and now Chief Medical Officer, at Womack Army Medical Center.

She is a graduate of US Army Airborne School and the US Army Air Assault School.
She is originally from Maine, and lives with her two children, Ian (17) and O'Neal Falcon Abby (14), in Southern Pines.

The O'Neal Community is invited to Coffee in the Courtyard preceding the assembly starting at 10 am.
