Letterland Parade

PreK-4, junior kindergarten and kindergarten students and teachers held their annual Letterland Parade today.

Students and teachers dressed representing their favorite Letterland character in recognition of the students’ working hard in their lessons. Letterland is a curriculum teaching phonics using a story-based approach, engaging students, and long-term retention of concepts.  What's more, Letterland is multi-sensory.  It uses learning channels through music, actions, alliteration, movement, song, art, games, and role plays.  Students learn Letterland characters, letters, sounds, shapes of letters, letter writing, spelling, syllabication and coding, and other unique teaching techniques that motivate children to read, write and spell confidently.  Children with strong phonemic awareness, such as the Letterland program, become solid, capable readers and powerful, proficient writers.
