All Smiles for O'Neal's First Week of School

O'Neal faculty and staff were excited to have families back to campus this week starting with Orientation, followed by the First Day of School!
It's always an exciting time for everyone when the new school year rolls around and this year was no different. Tuesday, Orientation took place and families were welcomed to campus to learn what they needed to know for the new school year.

Wednesday was the first day of school where we saw lots of smiling faces! Our "Adopt-a-Senior" Program is always a big spotlight for the first day of school as seniors meet their second-grade little buddies for the first time at drop-off and work to get them settled into the classroom. The day culminated with the annual Convocation in an all-school assembly in the Hannah Center Gym.

The fourth-grade students led the Pledge of Allegiance, 8th-grade student Jack Baggett recited the School's mission statement, and seniors Max Pashley and Michaela Stone shared their vision for the school year 2024-2025.

The all-school challenge takes a different look this year as the "Red-Blue Challenge" becomes "The Battle of the Blues". Homeroom teachers and advisors took to the gym floor to reveal which team (light blue or dark blue) they represented.

Here's to a great school year 2024-2025!
