Art II Metal Repousse

Repousse is a method of decorating metals in which parts of the design are raised in relief from the back or the inside. Students in Judy Browne's Art II class used embossing tools to create their designs. India ink was painted onto their designs and when dry, was removed using steel wool revealing the embossing. Some students chose to extend their designs using colored pencils.
