FALCONS TAKE THE TIME TO CELEBRATE THE FALL SEASON
Middle School & Varsity Boys Soccer:
MS and Varsity Boys Soccer wrapped up their seasons this week by participating in a program-wide Parent vs. Player game. A mixed squad of varsity and middle school players took on their parents and siblings in an exhibition match on Tuesday. Laughter, cheering, and attempting to make fools of their parents was a common sight during the game, although the parents put up an impressive fight, scoring two goals during the 30-minute game. Ultimately, the players were too much for the parents, coasting to a 4-2 victory to close the season.  Coaches Kegl, Williamson and Worley are really proud of all the athletes this year and not only their growth as soccer players, but also their willingness to support each other as teammates. Things were not always easy for the teams, but they ended up bringing out the best in each other and giving it their all in every situation.

Girls Tennis:
The Girls Varsity Tennis team concluded their season with a special treats party in Konni's Courtyard. During the gathering, they handed out pins and varsity letters, taking time to reflect on their accomplishments and growth throughout the season. The afternoon was filled with fun fellowship, making it a perfect way to celebrate their hard work and dedication.

Middle School Volleyball:
The girls' volleyball teams had an exciting end to their season this past week. They first faced off against the boys' soccer team in a friendly rivalry volleyball match. The 6th-grade boys claimed a win, while the 7th and 8th-grade girls came out victorious. For their final practice, the girls enjoyed a fun PR session. In the last game of the season, the A and B teams played an intense match that went down to the wire, with the final point scored as the buzzer rang. The girls have demonstrated tremendous growth throughout the season and have enjoyed playing together. A big thank you to everyone who has supported them this year!

Varsity Volleyball:
The Girls' Varsity Volleyball team wrapped up their season this week with their 2nd annual Glow-ball event. They invited the Varsity Boys' Soccer team for a friendly head-to-head match, where the volleyball team came out victorious with a 25-21 win. Afterward, they enjoyed some fun, quick rounds of mixed teams before celebrating with a pizza and treats party. The event was capped off with the seniors sharing their words of wisdom, making it a memorable end to an fun season.

Middle School Cross Country:
All good things must come to an end. The Falcon runners concluded their season this week with their end of the season celebration as well as their final meet at Sandhills Classical Christian. The Falcon runners exemplified perseverance, resilience and exceptional attitude all season as they all broke personal records as well as finished both first and second in their respective divisions. A special thank you to the parents for supporting their runners, the coaching staff and O'Neal athletics department in both practices and meets. Lastly, to the Captains Adrian Rodriguez, Jack Browning and Jacob Koprowski for making sure the team was well prepared with warmups and water coolers for each practice and meet. If this season was any indication, the future is bright for the Falcon runners!

Varsity Cross Country:
Good luck to the O'Neal Falcons Varsity Cross Country team as they take flight tomorrow morning at the State Championship Meet, held at the WakeMed Soccer Complex in Raleigh! With months of hard work, grit, and determination behind them, our Falcons are ready to soar. May their strides be swift, their endurance strong, and their personal records shatter as they compete against the best.
